Higher education minister visits Kunar Province to meet the injured students of Sayed Jamaluddin Afghani University
The Minister of Higher Education, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Mawlavi Neda Mohammad Nadeem, visited Kunar province to see the injured students of Sayed Jamaluddin Afghani University following Pakistani missile attacks.
During a meeting of the university’s academic council, attended by Provincial Police Commander Mawlawi Zia-ul-Haq Hamed, university officials, and academic staff, he strongly condemned the attacks and prayed for the martyrs and the quick recovery of the injured.
He also stated that Afghans have regained a new sense of hope and are now focused on building their Islamic system and country, as well as advancing education and the economy. Therefore, enemies are attempting to create obstacles for them.
Moreover, he stated that the killing and injuring of children, women, students, and innocent civilians by Pakistan has no basis in Islamic Sharia, nor is it permitted under international laws that they claim to respect.
The minister stated that Afghans should not be further “tested” noting that they have experienced casualties and injuries and remain resilient, maintaining their resolve and morale despite such incidents. He said, “We are not weak and will respond to the adversary at an appropriate time.
The higher education minister urged the officials and academic staff of Sayed Jamaluddin Afghani University to keep the academic process active, continue their teaching activities, and avoid any interruption in classes.
It should be noted that that yesterday the Pakistani military regime carried out missile attacks on Kunar province and Sayed Jamaluddin Afghani University, leaving 30 students injured and causing significant financial damage to the university campus.
